Whenever making any Wallpaper border purchase, you should:

  1. Make sure the pattern/color you are purchasing is not discontinued.

If it is, you will have a very hard (if not impossible) time trying to find more if needed.

For example some brick & mortar stores may have ordered stock a long time ago. Due to low traffic volume, that stock could have sat on the shelf for ages. It is possible that whatever is being sold might not be available for re-order. Also discontinued merchandise is usually not returnable…even if it is damaged/defective.

Chances are good Wallpaper border, however, that if you can find a particular pattern/color in more than one place, then it is probably still a current pattern and readily available.

  1. Make sure the product is first quality…not seconds or damaged goods.

This is especially true if the selling price is extraordinarily cheap or if a consumer instead of a retailer is selling it.

  1. Consider the return/cancellation policy.

In many cases, there is no standard return/cancellation policy that a seller must abide by. The seller sets these policies, and the buyer is bound by it.

Find out if the product is returnable, and under what circumstances. Also determine if there are any charges/fees for doing so. Just because something is damaged or defective, you do not automatically have the “right” to return it. It’s up to the seller’s discretion.

  1. Consider the price as it compares to the competition.

Usually if you find something that is “too good to be true”, it general is. Read the fine print. Make sure you know what you’re getting. For example, it may be marked way down because it’s no longer available or it has some kind of a defect. But then again, it could be the seller just wants to clear it out of inventory. Either way, you should be alert when the pricing is not in line with the competition.

  1. Determine what the expected delivery time frame Wallpaper border is and shipping method used if having the product shipped to you.

The following questions are good to know the answers to:

  • Does the seller have the product in stock or would it have to be special ordered?
  • If it needs to be special ordered, how long does that take?
  • If it is being delivered, which shipping carrier is used? UPS does not ship to PO boxes, nor do they deliver on Saturdays (in most cases). This might matter to you.
  • Does the seller allow for expedited shipping? If so, what are the additional costs?

In most cases the above information is available ahead of time. It would save you time & energy if you determined this prior to making a purchase, especially if you are in a hurry to receive the merchandise.
